Pass Conditions

Independent road-data archive

About Pass Conditions

Pass Conditions combines official road status with nearby snow and forecast context, then keeps the transition history that traveler-information pages usually discard.

What it is—and is not

It is an independent aggregation for trip planning. It is not a state agency, emergency service, navigation instruction, or permission to travel. Every live answer carries its observation time and a link to the responsible DOT.

Why archive transitions

Whether a pass changed from open to traction, chains or closed can matter more than a single snapshot. The archive starts in 2026 and cannot reconstruct storms from before collection began.
